USAID to select partner municipalities for Direct Development Contracts

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is working with partner governments around the world to provide cost-effective, sustainable support to initiatives to improve democracy and governance, economic growth and rule of law. Under what is known as the “USAID Forward” Program, we are increasing the use of direct contracts with central and local governments and local organizations that have demonstrated technical capacity as well as a commitment to ethical and sound business practices, and a strict adherence to host country laws.
